Majestic Tool Hand Axe – Dayton Pattern
Maker: Majestic Tool Corporation, Baltimore, MD
Make: Hand Axe
Pattern: Dayton Pattern
DOB: ~1983
This Majestic “hand axe” was forged from steel that is fairly soft. Mine was made in China.
From what I understand they were sold with this paper label in the 80s and 90s. From the online records it looks like they closed down in 1992.
The eye was epoxy filled (that was some of the hardest epoxy I have ever encountered) and two metal wedges (may have been a zinc alloy, was not magnetic).
I also have a sledge hammer made by Majestic Tool Corporation,

Tools found in Harry’s shed when he was moving.
Funny thing, I came across your post by Googling for info about a Majestic Tool Co. axe I got at a garage sale earlier this year. The label on mine is different that yours and is just about gone, but I can see it’s the same model number as yours. Awesome axe for camping because it’s so small. Some pics of it linked below…
